Equality statement
In a modern Scotland all our children and young people should have the chance to flourish, achieve their potential and contribute to its success. Inequality is wasteful. It squanders talent and resources and restricts ambition. A more equal society will help maintain a strong, stable economy, with growth and prosperity even through turbulent periods in the economic cycle.
Our aim is to promote opportunities to all people regardless of race, colour, gender orientation, nationality, religion, ethnic or national origin, age, gender reassignment, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, political opinions or socio-economic deprivation.
